It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Alexander (John) Gordon announce his passing at home on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. John had a 35 year career with the City of Toronto Fire Department retiring as a District Chief. He leaves behind his loving wife Lillian of many years who provided care for him at home for the past 3 years that he was ill. Proud father of Karen (Rob) David (Robin) & Bradley. Loving Grandfather to Ryan (Maegan), Lara (Geoff), Michelle (Matt), Daniel, Andrew and Matthew (Jessica). Proud Great Grandfather to Everleigh.

The Family would like to thank and acknowledge the exceptional care provided to John by his Nurse Alison and Dean Walters his Nurse Practitioner. A private family Memorial to Honour John’s life with be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in John’s honour would be appreciated.
