A celebration of Life will be held for Shirley Litherland, wife of Grant Litherland Captain R321 C platoon.

It will be on Saturday, November 19th between 1 and 4 pm. It is a casual drop-in affair and will take place at:

Louis Cifer Brewpub
417 Danforth Ave.
Toronto, ON M4K 1P1

All are welcome to pop in for a bite and a beverage.

Shirley was so many things to the people who knew and loved her: The best comfort food maker; the most unfailingly positive presence; the biggest welcomer to her home (whether she knew you for one day or many). Most of all, she was a much-loved spouse, mother, grandmother, and friend. For almost 70 years, the world was lucky enough to have Shirley in it.

Come join Shirley’s family for a celebration of life on Saturday, November 19 at Louis Cifer Brewpub, 417 Danforth Avenue. Please feel free to drop in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 PM for food & refreshments and to reminisce about Shirley’s beautiful life.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to cancer research in the name of Shirley Litherland.

With heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Shirley Young/Litherland wife of Captain Grant Litherland, R321 C platoon.

Despite stage four cancer she held her head high and continued to spoil her family for almost five years. She was truly an inspiration and proof that beauty can be more than skin deep.

A beautiful soul, Shirley was loved by all those lucky enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her husband Grant, sons Troy, Robin and Kyle, her daughters-in-law,

Kristin (Troy), and Ashley (Robin) as well as granddaughter Brooke (Troy) and grandson Harrison (Robin).

A celebration of life will be held at a date TBA.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please donate to cancer research and always hug your loved ones.
