Subject: Zoom Recovery Meetings *REMINDER*

Brothers and Sisters,

Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, your Association has been hosting substance abuse/addiction recovery meetings online, as part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality of life and the health of our members. It looks like it will be a while until we get back to meeting in-person, so we have started a Zoom account dedicated to these meetings. 

As a result, the login details have changed. Please use the new link, and meeting ID as listed below.

This is an unprecedented time for all of us and can be particularly stressful for those struggling with substance abuse and addiction. Whether you’ve been in recovery for a while, are new to recovery or just wondering if there’s a way out, we invite you to join us. You are not alone. There is a solution!

Zoom is a free video-conferencing app that works on computers and smartphones. It can be downloaded for free at https://zoom.us/, the App Store or Google Play.

Your privacy and anonymity will be protected. You can choose whether or not you want to enable your camera. You can choose how you are identified – initials, first name only, or a pseudonym. It’s completely up to you. You can choose to speak or not during the meeting. Our primary purpose is to give hope to those that are stuck in addiction and show them that there is a way out.

During the current crisis, we are going to be holding these meetings every Wednesday, from 8:00 – 9:00 pm.

All Divisions are welcome.
Who: Any 3888 member that feels they have a problem, active or retired.

Here’s how to join: Download the Zoom Join Zoom Meeting, by clicking on this link (If you have not downloaded the app, you will be prompted to when you click on the link.) If for some reason you have trouble, the Meeting ID is: 918 4698 9450 and the Password is: TFS12step

Set your preferred privacy settings – camera on or off, display name, etc. Please read this FAQ or you can watch this quick video tutorial on Joining a Meeting. Once you have joined the meeting, your audio and video have been automatically set to “mute”.  Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the zoom meeting controls before the meeting.
