It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Martinak, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital at the age of 86. Born in Toronto on November 13, 1939, Paul lived a long and meaningful life devoted to service, family, and community. He proudly served as a Toronto firefighter, dedicating his career to protecting and helping others.
Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humour, generous spirit, and unwavering strength. He faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife, Louise Martinak (née Faber), in 2010. Loving father of Peter (Anne-Marie), David, Stephen, and Catharine. Cherished grandfather of Christina (Andrew), Samantha, James, Jake, Emily, and Christopher, and adored great-grandfather of Ethan, Parker, Elouise, Aiden, and Cody. Dear brother of Erin Henderson (Dave), Mary Ellen (Scott), and Melinda Millar (Ivan). Paul will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
