Nasteha Beinah
September 7th, 1996 – June 10th, 2026
It is with a heavy heart that we notify you of the sudden passing of our sister, Nasteha Beinah.
Nasteha joined Toronto Fire Services in 2023 as a Call Taker / Dispatcher with the Communications team and over the years became a respected colleague. Nasteha was an active and dedicated member of the Toronto Fire Services Black Staff Network and a positive presence across our Service, known for her bright spirit and the energy she brought to those around her.
Nasteha was actively involved with our Associations HREI committee and was also passionate about community engagement, helping to support recruitment efforts with youth across Toronto and raising awareness of the important work of Toronto Fire Services.
Celebration of Life
We invite you to join TFS and the Beinah family in paying tribute to the life of Nasteha Beinah on Wednesday June 17th, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 5 pm in the atrium at headquarters, 4330 Dufferin Street.
As we navigate our grief together, we will celebrate Nasteha’s remarkable impact on us and the job in such a short amount of time. Her smile, sense of humour and vibrancy will be missed. Please come out and share your fondest memories of “Nas” with our sisters and brothers, laughter will be inevitable.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served, during which we will hear remarks from Chief Jessop, President Smith, colleagues and the Beinah family.
Uniform of the day is acceptable for this informal celebration. Parking available in the church parking lot just north of headquarters.
