Funeral Information For Captain John Charles Perry, Retired TFS – Former NYFD (L-752)

John Perry – May 31st, 1947 – March 24th, 2026

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Health in Newmarket on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 78 years of age. Loving husband of Mary Perry for over 58 years. Beloved father of the late Stephen, the late Andrea (Kyle), and Jason (Siobhain). Proud grandfather of Josiah, Madeleine, and McKinley. Brother of the late Sandy, Judy, Bill, Frank, Susan, Mike, and Kim. Son of the late Kenneth and the late Emeline. Cherished uncle and great-uncle to many.

John was a devoted firefighter with the North York Department for many years and proudly held the title of captain for most of his career. His career began with North York Fire on the 20th of October 1969, and he retired from Toronto Fire Services on the 30th of November 2000, after 31 years. Above all, John cherished his family and was especially fond of being a grandpa. The family wishes to thank the staff at Southlake Health, specifically in the Acute Care Unit, for their compassionate care. As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held.
