Firefighter Frederick William Onley – Oct 1929–Mar 2026

At Moira Place – Tweed, on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Frederick Onley, of Madoc, in his 97th year. Son of the late Frederick and Anne Onley (nee Richards). Beloved husband of the late Charmaine Onley (nee Briand). Loving father of Joanne Boothby (Alexander), and predeceased by children Frederick Onley Jr., Wayne Onley, and Dianne Onley, and loved by his grandchildren, Lisa, Kate, and great-grandchildren, Lily and Hannah.

Fred was a dedicated Toronto Firefighter. Fred’s Career began with the Toronto Fire Department on the 28th of January 1955. His career was spent predominantly in Station 8 (315) and Station 17 (227). He retired on the 15th of October 1983, after 28 years of Service. Fred is predeceased by his son, Toronto Firefighter Wayne Onley (1981-2022).
