Funeral Information For DC Lloyd Clarence Bellaire, Retired TFS – Former NYFD (L-752)

Lloyd Bellaire – Jul 22nd, 1948 – Feb 17th, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lloyd Clarence Bellaire on February 17, 2026, in his 78th year, peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital with family by his side. Beloved spouse and best friend of Susan, married for 53 years in May, and loving father of Jennifer. Dear Brother-in-law to Kathie Rame, Gary Rame; Uncle to Mary Ann (David) Webster and Paul (Suzanne) Rame; Great-uncle to Michael (Arceline) Webster; Sarah, Kyle, Adam, and Shawn Rame. Lloyd is predeceased by his mother, Mary Bellaire, and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Renaud-Clapham.

Lloyd began his career at the North York Fire Department in 1970 and retired as District Chief in the City of Toronto after 39 years of service. Lloyd had a great love for his career and was very proud to serve the people of Toronto. He often spoke of how proud he was to have worked with his crew over the span of his career and how it developed into great friendships. He enjoyed spending time together with his family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Lloyd’s hobbies included fishing and golfing. He had a love of all types of music, but his favourite was Elvis Presley, and he and Susan were fortunate to see him in Niagara Falls, New York, in 1975. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their compassionate care.

Funeral Service – Tuesday, February 24, 2026, From 10:30 am to 11:30 am Chapel Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, ON. Reception, to follow the service from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

OBITUARY

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Markham Stouffville Hospital. Rest in Peace, Brother Bellaire.
