Funeral Information For Captain Gregory Hugh Keele, Retired TFS – Former TFD (L-113)
Greg Keele – 22 Oct 1948 ~ 06 Dec 2025
Passed away at the Belleville General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Greg was born in Toronto on October 22, 1948. He was the son of the late George and Joanne Keele. the loving husband of Mary Keele; the cherished father of Theresa (Sean Telford), Derek (Jen), Jeannette (Steve Bizgia), Darryl, Michelle (Sean Carrington); the grandfather of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The dear brother of Sharon Corio, John Keele, Patricia Keele (Carl), and Bonnie Gale. He was predeceased by his brothers Peter and Paul.

Greg dedicated 31 years of service to Toronto Fire, retiring as a Captain in 2008. He generously volunteered his time with the Boy Scouts in Newmarket, giving back to the community he cared for so deeply. Greg had a great love of travel, including trips with family and friends to Portugal, Costa Rica, Florida, and many other destinations. He also loved to golf, always had a book to read, and enjoyed listening to music. Greg made friends everywhere he went and loved to share his immense knowledge of “fun facts”. He will be deeply missed by all of us, including his little loving girl, Willow. Greg’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the nurses, doctors, patient support workers, and other staff who cared for Greg over the years.
