Remembrance Day Ceremonies – November 11th

Each year on November 11th, we pause to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country and our communities. For generations, Canada’s military and fire service have stood side by side—bound by duty, courage, and a shared commitment to protecting others.

Both the firefighter and the soldier answer a call that few can fully understand: to place themselves in harm’s way for the greater good. From the battlefields overseas to the frontlines at home, both professions are steeped in honour, service, and selflessness. Our uniforms may differ, but the values that define us—courage, loyalty, and sacrifice—remain the same. It is this deep connection between our two traditions that makes Remembrance Day especially meaningful.

Across Toronto, members of the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association will once again join their communities in solemn reflection and remembrance. We encourage all members to attend one of the local ceremonies listed below to honour those who have served and those who continue to serve.
