Funeral Information For Firefighter Thomas Findlay Bryce Retired TFS – Former TFD (L-113)
Tom Bryce – 15 Jan 1942 ~ 26 Jul 2025
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Thomas Findlay Bryce announces his passing on July 26th in his 83rd year, surrounded by loved ones at Madawaska Valley Hospice. Beloved husband and best friend of Pearl Smith (residing at Miramichi Lodge). Loving Father of Helen Bryce (Kevin), Karen Marchand (Patrick), and Tricia Bryce. A very Proud Grandpa to his 11 grandchildren: Tyler, Darnell, Faith, Jessica, Katie, Cruze, Chase, Christian, Samantha, Zachary, and Sydney. Cherished Great-Grandpa to his 3 great grandchildren: Kyla, Kaiya, and Kayden. Reunited in peace with his beloved parents and brothers who passed before him.

Tom was a Retired Firefighter, beginning his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 23rd of January 1970. He was assigned to many stations throughout his career, retiring from Toronto Fire Services on the 31st of Jan 2002, after 32 years of dedicated service. The family is deeply grateful to the teams of doctors and staff at Barry’s Bay, Pembroke, and Renfrew Hospitals. A very special thank you to Madawaska Valley Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Dad. A very special thank you as well to Donna and Kevin, dear friends of over 25 years, for their unwavering support and care. Their regular visits, meal preparation, and devoted presence over the past few months allowed Dad to remain at home with comfort and dignity.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private service will be held, with a celebration of life at the Barry’s Bay Legion to follow at a later date. Details to follow.
