Funeral Information for Firefighter Francis George Ley, Retired City of York (L-411)
Frank Ley – 09 Oct 1935 – 20 Jul 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Frank Ley at Milton District Hospital on July 20, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Doreen, with whom he enjoyed 64 wonderful years of marriage. Frank leaves behind 4 children, Keith (Lianne), Karen (Victor), Brian (Angela), and Brenda (Michael). He was the proud Grandpa to Sasha, Meghan, Rachael, Robert, Stuart, Mark, Mady, and Victoria, and Great Grandpa to Annabella, Isla, and Skye. Frank is survived by his brother, Bob, and predeceased by his brothers Bill and Jim and his sister Alberta.

Frank was a member of the City of York Fire Department for 30 years before retiring in 1989. He was also a member of Grace Anglican Church for more than 30 years. Many happy times and fond memories were made at Cedar Rail Campground during the last 14 years.

Celebration of Life Memorial Service – Wednesday, August 6 at 1:00 PM McKersie and Early Funeral Home, 114 Main St. E. Milton, ON,
Reception – Immediately following the Service in the Upstairs Lounge of the Funeral Home. An elevator is available for those requiring assistance.
