Funeral Information For Firefighter Bradley Evaschuk Retired TFS – Former TFD (L-113)

Bradley Evaschuk – 01 Apr 1969 ~ 15 Feb 2025

Brad Evaschuk, born on April 1, 1969, passed away suddenly on February 14, 2025. He is deeply missed by his children, Harlee and Koda, and his stepson, Jack. His sister Dana, brother-in-law Rick, niece Merrill, and nephew Jasper also greatly mourn his loss as well as numerous cousins and close friends. Brad was predeceased by his mother in 2022 and his father in 2023; he now joins them “on the other side,” as he would say. Brad was raised in Bolton, Ontario, where he was very active in all sports, particularly hockey and baseball. In his late teens, he was drafted to the Toronto Blue Jays’ minor league system and played for the St. Catherines and Medicine Hat Blue Jays until injury ended his career. He then followed in his father’s footsteps and became a firefighter for several years. Although Brad lost his way for a few years, he was able to get back on track and was in the process of starting his own business in his final years. Raised in the country, Brad had a passion for fishing, hunting, and all things outdoors. He loved his trips to British Columbia with his children to visit his family and especially enjoyed visiting the wilderness lodge owned by his sister and brother-in-law, where he will be laid to rest for eternity. He also enjoyed music and had a passion for playing the guitar. Known for his large stature and friendly demeanor, Brad was loved and admired by many and was seen as a big softy who cared very deeply about those he loved. Sadly, his big heart failed him on Valentine’s Day, of all days.

A Ceremony of Life will be held at the Alliston Legion Branch 171 on Saturday, June 28, 2025. There will be a private dinner prior to doors opening at 6:30 for everyone. A slideshow and speeches honouring Brad will take place at 7 PM. Cash Bar.

At your choosing, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, heartandstroke.ca, or a charity of your choice. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com.
