Passed suddenly at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Hammy, of Wasaga Beach, was the beloved husband of Marina (nee Givan) for 55 years. Loving father of Heather (Shawn) and Derek (Pam). Cherished grandfather of Weston, Zoey, and Kyle. Lovingly remembered by his sister Margaret, his extended family, and many friends.

Starting his career as a Police officer in Northern Ireland to a Firefighter with the City of York when he and Renee immigrated to Canada. He afforded Renee to stay home with the kids through a second job as a truck driver. Work stayed at work, and he was present with his family and friends outside of this. Hammy was lucky to retire many years ago and continue serving his community. He kept busy with volunteer driving for Children’s Aid, Cancer Society, and Red Cross.
