Firefighter Walter Stephenson – 23 Aug 1941 ~ 15 Aug 2024
Passed suddenly after a lengthy illness at his home in Woodland Beach on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Walt Stephenson in his 83rd year, leaves behind his beloved wife Elaine. Loving Grandfather of, Steven (Melissa) Howe and Deborah (Matt) See. Proud Great-Grandfather of Scarlett and Sydney Howe, and Aaron and Abby See. Brother of Robin (John) Skerrett, the late June (survived by Don) James, the late Marilyn (Don) Gibson, and the late Donna (Henry) Gaudet. Walt will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
A Retired Firefighter for 30 years. Walter began his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 17th of July 1964 and retired on the 25th of January 1993. Walter had an active career and had many station assignments, finishing up at Station 24 A2 (311 C), he will be missed. In keeping with Walt’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service.
