Funeral Information for Captain Ross Adams Retired L752 North York Fire

Ross Adams – 02 April 1933 – 22 June 2024

Ross was the dearly beloved best friend and husband of the late Marilyn June Adams for 64 wonderful years. He lived a life of public service, first as a North York firefighter for 31 years, and in his “second career” as a volunteer in the Cobourg community, where he and Marilyn retired. Over more than 30 years, he volunteered his time and leadership serving in various roles including the Northumberland Hills Hospital Board and Auxiliary, the Cobourg Lawn Bowling Club, and the Cobourg Probus Club, as well as through his direct support of numerous community activities and events.

Ross leaves his son, Murray Ross Adams (Corinne), and daughter, Laura Susan Adams. He was predeceased by his sisters Frances Morrison (Jack) and Marjorie Carr (Stan) as well as his brother William (Bill) Adams (Irene). Saddened also by his passing are four grandchildren: Michael Adams (Christine), Megan Adams (Tim Shyrin), Shireen Adams, and Mina Creighton (Jeremy), as well as seven great-grandchildren: Logan, Ben, Madelyn, Aria, Jack, Charlotte, and Elena.

Celebration of Life Service – Saturday, July 27, 2024, From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with the family sharing memories at 1:30 pm. MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E, Cobourg, Ont. K9A 1K7

Donations to the Northumberland Hills Hospital or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated.
