Firefighter David Lorne Cook – 12 Apr 1936 ~ 14 Jun 2024
Peacefully at home family by his side. He is now in his heavenly home, not because he was good enough, but because Jesus is. He leaves behind his faithful wife of almost 64 years, Kay, and their two children—daughter Ruth (Dave) grandchildren Andrew (Megan), Liz, Kat, Matt (Lindsey), Gabe, and Abby and four great-grandchildren Hazel, Louie, Holly, and Juniper, and son Rick (Jami) granddaughter Brookelynn; Also his siblings Bill and Arline.
A Retired Firefighter for 36 years. Dave began his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 30th of October 1959 and retired on the 15th of May 1995. Dave had an active career and had many station assignments, finishing up at Station 16 A2 (425 C), he will be missed. Special thanks to PSWs Grace, Ildiko, Carolyn, Yvonne, Noli, Amos, and the medical team, Remi and Felix. Dave traveled to Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, and Sierra Leone, West Africa on mission work teams.
