Iain Mctavish – 1954 ~ 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cap. Ian McTavish Seniority. Ian started with Scarborough Fire on October 10th, 1984, and retired from Toronto Fire Services on October 31, 2017. Ian was in Fire Prevention for his entire 33-year career which ended at Old Scarborough Hall #1 on Birchmount Rd.
Iain fought for many years battling cancer, heart condition, and various other illness. On Sunday, August 13th Iain became a first-time Grandfather to a wee boy named Riley, his daughter Kristen was in the same hospital giving birth – so Iain was able to hold his grandson on Monday.
Our sincerest condolences go out to Ian’s wife, his family, and friends from the Scarborough Retired Fire Fighters.
Ian will be greatly missed by all who knew him. See funeral details below.
