APC Alexander McMillen – 23 Jun 1932 ~ 08 Jul 2023

Passed away peacefully at the age of 91. He was surrounded and cared for by his son Greg (Diann), daughter Sandra (Steve), son Stewart (Susan), grandchildren Dorothy, Candice (Mario), Beckham, Edward, William, and great-grandchildren Elise and Hayden. He was predeceased in death by his first wife Dorothy, second wife Thelma, and son Steven.

Alex spent 34 years as a firefighter for the city of Toronto, loved to fish, ski, watch sports and spend time at the cottage with his loved ones. Alex began his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 7th of October 1955. He was promoted to Captain on the 9th of June 1972. Alex rose to the rank of District Chief on the 18th of January 1980, and retired as an Acting Platoon Chief on the 26th of June 1988, after 34 years of service. Alex enjoyed 35 years of retirement.

In keeping with Alex’s wishes, there will be no service.
