District Chief Gordon R. Moses – 21 Aug 1943 ~ 05 Jun 2023

Gord Moses Born Aug 21, 1943, Died in hospital with family by his side on June 5, 2023, he was 79 years of age.

A former Air Traffic Controller, Gord began his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 22nd of April 1966. He was promoted to Captain on the 28th of January 1985, and retired as a District Chief on the 15th of June 1997, after 31 years of service. He served at Station 23 (344), Captain of P34 (131) Captain of P3 (314), and finally, C46 at Station 28 (124). Gord enjoyed 26 years of retirement. Gord was also a member of the Toronto Fire Fighters’ War Veterans Association; he will be missed at the monthly meetings.

In keeping with his wishes, Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life on Sept. 17, 2023, in Bobcaygeon Ont. More details will be posted in the future.
