Captain Lawrence Clifford Walter Malone – 17 Nov 1941 ~ 02 Apr 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lawrence “Larry” Clifford Walter Malone on April 2nd, 2023, at the young age of 81. Cherished husband to Marilyn for 37 years. Loving father to Michael, Michelle, Stephen, Jeff (Irene) and the late Mark. Dear Grandfather to his many grandchildren. Beloved brother to Doug and Beverley. Cherished uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Larry will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada in memory of Larry would be appreciated.
Larry began his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 09th of November 1967, he was promoted to Captain on the 30th of March 1982, and retired in on the 29th of January 1996 after 29 Years of service. Larry’s career was spent mostly in the east, at stations 17 (227) and 7 (325), all on the A-1 Shift (A Platoon). Larry was a member of the Toronto Fire Fighters’ War Veterans Association; he will be missed at the monthly meetings.
