Beaches Easter Day Parade – Sunday, April 9th, 2023

Notice 23-038

Whether you’re active, retired or a recruit come out for a fun afternoon. On Sunday, April 9th, 2023, come out and join the Toronto Fire Service’s Pipe and drums Band, Toronto Fire Services Honour Guard, Toronto Fire War Vets’ Colour Guard, and our members in a short casual walk down Queen Street East in the Beaches.

The Easter Bunny this year needs your help handing out chocolate easter eggs, to the local kids, along the parade route. Bring your family, friends, partners, and pets, and help make this parade a memorable one for everyone this year.

Full Dress Uniform is preferred, issued fatigue pants and shirts are also acceptable. A shuttle will run from the Fire Academy’s Parking Lot from 11:30 pm to 1:30 pm to the marshaling area near Queen St. E. and Beech Avenue.

There will be NO parking at Station 227; however, the shuttle will stop at Station 227 for those that require a ride to the form-up area. The Parade commences at 2:00 p.m. SHARP and we will be forming up at 1:45 pm. Shuttles will also be operating from the end of the parade ( Woodbine and Queen ) to the academy right after the parade. FYI, although not a written policy, the TTC will allow uniformed personnel to ride for free.

We will be gathering at The Stone Lion, 1958 Queen St E after our march for a few hours. Let’s try and make this the biggest Beaches Easter Day Parade ever.
