Funeral Information for Firefighter Jack Thompson Retired City of York
John “Jack” Thompson – 1935 – 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce Jack’s passing, at the age of 88, on Monday, February 20, 2023, with his wife of 65 years, Marlene (nee Teese) by his side. Lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jackie Feasby (Roger). Cherished Grandpa of Kristen, Courtney (Amy), and Jason. Fondly remembered by many extended family and friends.
Jack was a firefighter for the Borough of York for 30 years. He was known as a “Jack of all trades” and spent his retirement years building houses, and cottages and making shaker furniture.
At Jack’s request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at a future date. A special thank you to Dr. Michael D’Aquila and the nursing staff at the Hawkesbury General Hospital for their excellent care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the SPCA, your local Fire Department, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
