Captain John Hastings – 02-Dec-1921 – 29-Dec-2022

Hastings, John – Retired City of Toronto Fire Captain, #657. Passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

John joined the Toronto Fire Department on the 21st of October 1946, He was promoted to Captain on the 13th of October 1961 and retired on the 10th of February 1967 after 21 years of service. John enjoyed 55 years of Retirement. In addition to his time on the Trucks, John will be remembered for his time in Training.

There is no service scheduled at this time, should one be arranged, it will be posted.
