HUGHES, Thomas – January 7, 1934 – February 11, 2023, Proud father, grandfather, great grandfather, and long-time Captain of the City of York fire service, Thomas Fredrick Hughes, died peacefully Saturday, February 11, 2023, in Etobicoke, aged 89. Tom was predeceased by his loving wife Gwyneth, whom he cherished. He will be forever remembered by the family he loved dearly, his children: Patti (John), Karen (Terry), and Michael (Lorraine); seven grandchildren Lindsay, Teri, Leah, Christine, Liam, Colin, and Lexi; and seven great-grandchildren: Austin, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Harrison, Ashlyn, William, and Thomas.
