Funeral Information For Fire Fighter Bruce Gilbert – Retired TFS (Former Scarborough L626)
Bruce Robert Gilbert #756 – 12 September 1955 – 16 February 2023
After a long and tenacious battle with cancer, Bruce passed peacefully at home with his family by his side. Bruce, a loving husband, best friend, and road captain to Denise, dad, and fixer of all things to Jordan (Laura) and Leah (Scott), and special grandpa to Mason. Bruce will be remembered for his 28-year career as a firefighter, his love to ride, and for always having a story to share with anyone willing to listen. Bruce’s big personality, his love for life, and his commitment to his family and friends will be missed beyond words.
Bruce’s career began with The Scarborough Fire Department on November 5th, 1990, and retired from Toronto Fire Services on January 29th, 2018.
