George began his career with the North York Fire Department on Aug. 24, 1964, and Retired on Jan. 31, 1996, after 32yrs. Jack enjoyed 26yrs of Retirement

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that after a brief illness, our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa firefighter, George Keith Milling passed away on July 31, 2022.

Pre-deceased by his parents, William and Lila, George leaves to cherish his memory his best friend and wife of 57 years, Linda, his daughter Karen (Bob), and his granddaughter Lauren.

George will also be remembered by his sister June Klue (John), his brother Bill Milling (Marilyn), his nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews, and the friends that became family. Special shout out to the Gilroy, Lehman, Neuman, Sumner, and Turnbull families…all of you are simply the best.

Thank you does not seem to be enough for Dr. Njuyen, his nurse Gemma and his occupational therapist Karen at Markham Stouffville Hospital, and the entire staff at The Reactivation Care Centre who made the last few days bearable for our family.

We will be celebrating George’s life at O’Neill Funeral Home – 6324 Main Street, Stouffville on Friday, August 12. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. with his service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. A private family interment to follow. As per George’s wishes, friends are welcome to join us afterward at the Stouffville Legion -150 Mostar Street, Stouffville where we will welcome everyone to share memories of our Gorgeous George.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation.
