Captain Frank Edward Whitaker –1936 ~ 2022
With his family by his side, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 86. Frank was a retired Captain with the Toronto Fire Department after 33 years of service. Frank will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years Gillian, his daughter Lynn, his son Bruce as well as grandsons Eric and Kyle.
A special thank you to the Doctors and staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Doctors Oldridge and MacMillan, LHIN care staff, and all others involved in his care. A special thank you also to the friends and neighbours for their support.
Frank started his career with the Toronto Fire Department on the 30th of October 1959. He was promoted to Captain on the 29th of April 1991 and retired on the 17th of December 1992 after 33 Years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to The Hendren Funeral Homes – Monk Chapel. There are no events scheduled. You can still show your support by sending flowers directly to the family or planting a memorial tree in memory of Frank Whitaker.
