Subject: St. Patrick’s Day Parade Sunday, March 20, 2022

Brothers and Sisters; This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022. We are inviting all uniformed personnel and their family to join us for ‘The March’ in March.2019 was the last time we marched thru the streets of our city, and from the inquiries, I have been getting it sounds like it may be our biggest turnout for this parade ever.  While quantities last, members will be receiving a Toronto Fire Historical Society Pin on the day of the parade. This year Toronto Firefighters have volunteered to help collect food items and cash donations along the parade route.   We will be using our own retired Box 12 canteen truck in a reverse role at the parade using it to collect food for the Daily Food Bank.  We will also be conducting a boot drive along the parade route with all proceeds also benefitting the Daily Bread Food Bank. All attending Toronto Firefighters are reminded to wear their full-dress uniforms. Full dress uniforms include the following; White Shirt, Black tie, White gloves, and issued Headdress –> if still required a Mask.

We, the Toronto Firefighters will form up at Sussex Ave and St. Georges St. Firefighters must form up by 11:45 am as the parade starts promptly at 12:00 noon. Members of the C&B Committee and the Honour Guard will be on-site to help with mustering up our members. The Celtic Society will be offering TFCS ball caps for sale with proceeds going to Camp Bucko, as well as barbequed back bacon on a bun for $5, they will be ready to serve you a hot sandwich after 9:30 am at the end of the Parade, there will be a reception for all participating uniformed firefighters at Grace O’Malley’s Pub, 14 Duncan St. (Just south/east of Stn. 332). We encourage all Fire department personnel to join us with their families and friends and help make this the biggest parade ever. There will be NO parking at the Fire Hall. This year we are encouraging members to use the TTC to make their way to the marshaling area.  Members while in uniform will be able to ride the TTC for free on March 20th.  This will enable members to park anywhere in the city along TTC routes.
