Ron’s career as a Captain on Etobicoke Fire and Toronto Fire lasted 32 years. He loved his job and was extremely proud to be a firefighter. Ron was very active for 30+ years as a GTHL referee, having refereed some of today’s NHL players, as well as mentoring younger referees. In his retirement, Ron loved to garden, walk and swim. He also loved hosting family and friends for poolside dips and cocktails in the summer. Ron was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leaf fan and Buffalo Bills fan. In the winter Ron enjoyed spending his time with Dayle in Florida at his winter “cottage”.

A visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Toronto, on Monday, January 24th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, January 25th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with service to follow. Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. (Live Stream/RSVP)
