Details have now been confirmed for the ceremony for Pierre Lacroix.

ATTENTION ALL OPFFA LOCALS: 

Please see current information shared by Montreal President Christ Ross regarding the LODD Funeral for Montreal Firefighter Pierre Lacroix.  We will forward updates as we receive them.

 Please take note that all participants MUST show proof of double vaccination to participate. 

In keeping with the wishes expressed by the family of Pierre Lacroix, firefighter at fire station 64, who died in the line of duty on October 18th during a water rescue operation, and in order to pay solemn tribute to our fallen firefighter, ceremonies in his honour have been organized as follows:

Wake and Public Visitation:

Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Quai Alexandra in Montréal’s Old Port, located at 200, rue de la Commune Ouest, in Montréal

Official Funeral Service:

Friday, October 29, 2021, at 12 p.m., at Notre-Dame basilica, located at 110, rue Notre-Dame Ouest, in Montréal

The procession will walk between the two locations at 10:30 am, it is about a 1.2 km walk. 

Recognition Ceremony (following the funeral service):

Friday, October 29, 2021, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, located at 1001, place Jean-Paul Riopelle, in Montréal Food and drink will be provided after the funeral for everyone. 

Friday night L125 will be hosting a reception downtown for those that will still be in town. We are still working on these details.

We will be leaving from Yorkdale Shopping Center, North West parking lot, we have permission from Yorkdale to use their Northwest Lot, we will be departing this location at 8:30 am.  See attached map.

Second Stop will be at Whitby South Go Parking Lot.

Third stop in Kingston at 401 and Division St.
