Captain George Cameron Haley – 1933 ~ 2021

George passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in his 88th year. George, Loving husband to the late Audrey, will be sadly missed by his children John, George, Mary Linn, and Deanne (Brian), and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

George retired a Captain with Toronto Fire Services. George began his career with The Toronto Fire Department on July 9th, 1957, and was promoted to the Captain of P14 on the 7TH of April 1978. He retired on the 16th of January 1985 after 28 years of service.

George was one of the Pillars of the Toronto Fire Department Credit Union. George was a proud member of the Toronto Firefighters War Veterans Association.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia, (705) 326-3595 on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 11 am until the time of service in the chapel at 1 o’clock. Interment at York Cemetery on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 11 am.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Sick Kids Hospital – Burn Unit and would be appreciated by the family.
