Martin Sowden Pancreatic Cancer Canada

adminEvents

Hello to all fellow Retirees, ‘Pancreatic Cancer does not stop for Covid-19’ As some of you know I have been helping to raise funds for PCC research for many years now. I recently accepted the challenge of taking part in 7 Days in May, a seven-day bike ride around Lake Ontario in support of Pancreatic Cancer Canada. Along with my training for this ride, I am raising funds for critical pancreatic cancer research.

This year an estimated 5,800 Canadians will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Most of these patients will be given less than a year to fight, to live their lives, and make memories with their families. Advancements in pancreatic cancer have been drastically outpaced by other cancers because of historically low research investment. As a result, this disease is now the third leading cancer killer in Canada, making the need for critical research investments and support from donors more important and impactful than ever.

Due to the current pandemic restrictions, all of our riding efforts throughout the month of May will be conducted virtually.

I’d like to ask you to consider making a donation to support me in my efforts to raise funds for this important cause. Visit my fundraising page to donate online or, if you prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below.

Whatever you can give will help – it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and look forward to keeping you updated on my progress.

Sincerely, Martin Sowden Capt.
Retired S331(2RS).
