Funeral Information For DC Raymond “Ray” Cook Retired Scarborough L626

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of former Scarborough Fire retired District Chief Ray Cook #230. Peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Lakeview Manor in Beaverton at age 84. Ray Cook beloved husband of Wendy (nee Skyvington) of Leaskdale. Loving father of Darlyne and her husband Stephen Lang of Sunderland, Stacy, and her husband Bruce McMaster of Manilla. Loving grandfather of Brandan, Dylan, Hunter, Samantha, Carter, and soon-to-be great grandfather. Predeceased by his brother and sister and will be remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Ray started with Scarborough Fire on May 24, 1963, and retired on April 30, 1996, as District Chief. Ray was liked by all who knew him and will be remembered with great fondness.

A private family service will be held at the THORNE FUNERAL HOME, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672).

If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
