Barry Ian Martin Retired – Scarborough L626
Barry Ian Martin passed away at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on Nov. 26, 2020 at the age of 81. Barry was predeceased by his parents Arthur & Vera Martin and his sister Marilýn Mason. Barry is survived by his partner Virginia Porter, daughter Marilyn Hall and son Curtis Martin.
He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren … Matthew Hall, Alisha Owen, Natasha Hall and Erica Coddington plus 7 great-granddaughters. His cousin Al Martin and Susan Butler.
Barry was a retired Fire Fighter with the Scarborough Fire Department (#342). He began his career in October of 1967 and retired in April 1985 with 18 years of service.
Barry was also an avid golfer, and accomplished bagpiper, played with the Bracebridge Legion pipe band.
