PC James “Jimmy” Vincent – Jan 1920 – May 2020

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Jimmy Vincent announce his passing on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020. Jim joined the Toronto Fire Department as a temporary Firefighter on the 28th of September 1945. He was appointed to permanent Firefighter on the 8th of March 1946 and was promoted to Captain on December 3, 1965.

Jim rose through the ranks and was promoted to Platoon Chief on the 2nd of December 1977 and retired on the 16th of November 1983, after a 38-year career. Jim turned 100 years old this year and was married for 78 years. No other details are available at this time.
