The Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive is in the process of beginning the 2019 Toy Drive season. The doors/phones at the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Warehouse will open on November 4th. Our Warehouse is located at 2041 McCowan Rd., Units C and D. Over the years the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive has continued to grow out of necessity to provide for an ever increasing number of Children in need. Our loyal corporate sponsors, the donating public and Global Toronto – our media partner, have allowed us to respond accordingly. MorguardProperties continues to provide the Toy Warehouse to the Drive at no cost – without this incredible support the Toronto Fire Fighters’ Toy Drive would never have been able to grow with continued success. Volunteers are an integral part to the successful operation of the Toy Drive – especially during the months of late November, all of December and even into the month of January.
Volunteers are required as Drivers to collect donated toys from the fire stations, Toy Warehouse sorters as toys are unloaded from collection and then additional sorting and storing of collected toys for the next season. If you are interested in donating your time to the Toy Drive, I request that you send an email to orders@torontofirefighterstoydrive.org In addition, you can contact the Toy Warehouse at 416 338 3339 – but not until November 4. Toy Drive live – avery popular event for both the Public and off duty Fire Fighters – will be our official “kick off” with our media partner, Global Toronto. Global will be on air live with many of their popular media personalities. The public and some of our corporate sponsors donate toys/cash for the Toy Drive and is an integral partof our season. This year Toy Drive live will be on December 5, 1700 hours start time. The location is again the Shops at Don Mills (south/west corner of Don Mills and Lawrence, centre outdoor kiosk). Off duty fire fighters attending are asked to wear their clean bunker gear (do not wear your helmet) – toques will be provided to our volunteers.
